For adults in Indiana

Self-Help Book Club

The self-help book club is committed to the personal growth and development of adults living in Indiana.

What to expect

Each group session is facilitated by a licensed counselor and focused on thoroughly exploring and discussing an entire self-help book, allowing members to gain deep insights and practical strategies.

Sessions are scheduled for two hours, providing ample time for engaging discussions, reflections, and shared experiences.

Our goal is to create a supportive environment where members can learn, connect, and apply the principles from each book to enhance their lives.

The supportive group video conversations enhance your emotional health and mental well being.

You can sign up for as many group sessions as you'd like.

Payment is due prior to services rendered, unless you have insurance.

Book Club Disclaimer

This book club is intended for educational, informational, and community building purposes only. Participation in this group does not establish a therapist client relationship with Julie Otis, LCSW, or this practice.

The discussions and materials shared during book club are not a substitute for individual therapy, diagnosis, or mental health treatment. Personal participation is voluntary, and members are encouraged to share only what they are comfortable discussing in a group setting.

While every effort is made to foster a respectful and supportive environment, confidentiality among participants cannot be guaranteed. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need individualized support, please contact your mental health provider, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.

Participation in this group does not automatically include individual therapy services. Many participants find that combining group participation with individual counseling enhances their progress. If you are interested in individual counseling, a separate intake assessment and any required practice paperwork must be completed before individual therapy can begin. Recommendations for individual therapy will be based on your clinical needs and mutual agreement that services are an appropriate fit.
